The Flea Retreat 2019

Flea retreat 2019

The Flea Retreat is back for 2019 and today we’re sharing early booking access with our 2018 attendees!

It’s our way of saying thanks for supporting a new event – and a bit of a gamble – from the Flea Network last year.

So what can you expect from this year’s Retreat?

This year we have a brand new venue. We’ll be heading to Mid-Wales to the gorgeous Thynrhyd, near Aberystwyth.

Set in 13 acres of woodland and meadows, our venue offers amazing views and the sort of peaceful seclusion you need to refresh your creativity and feel inspired.

We’ll have a mixture of workshops covering creative writing, photography and film-making, with expert tutors. Once again, we’ve ditched the slides and presentations in favour of activities and hands-on workshops that will give you the chance to learn by doing.

There will be a range of workshops for all abilities, and we’ll also add in some activities for relaxation, and fun. Expect movie screenings, barbecue lunches on the lawns, yoga and guided meditation, and much more.

This year The Retreat will be extra-exclusive with just 40 tickets available. Workshops will be mostly small groups of 6-10 people, giving you loads of time to get advice from our tutors, and your fellow influencers.

There will of course be lots of downtime, with evening entertainment, fabulous food, and all the tea and coffee you can manage.

When is The Retreat?

This year, The Flea Retreat will take place from Friday 17 May at 3pm. The Retreat workshops will draw to a close at 4pm on Sunday 19th May. For guests wishing to stay a third night, we can offer dinner, bed and breakfast, with the Retreat closing at 9am on Monday 20th May. This will be subject to an additional cost of £40pp, and can be booked up to 14 days prior to The Retreat.

Accommodation

The accommodation at Tynrhyd will be in shared rooms, sleeping between 2 and 4 people. A very limited number of single/double rooms are available.

These are subject to supplementary cost, and will be available on a first-come, first served basis.  We will release further information in due course.

The accommodation is cosy and comfortable, split across several buildings and conversions. Most rooms are en-suite, with LCD televisions, Netflix and shared kitchens for that vital early morning cuppa! Accessible rooms are available, and all activities and areas of the venue can be made accessible for guests with disabilities.
